Crafted by Dior’s Perfume Creative Director, Francis Kurkdjian, Sauvage Eau Forte embodies a harmonious balance between the freshness of an eau de toilette and the intensity of a parfum. This captivating creation reimagines the classic fougère fragrance, infusing it with fresh and spicy notes that evoke the pure strength of water.

The fragrance unveils a unique dual-layer composition, blending an aqueous base with a fragrant oily formula. This results in a high concentration and a distinctive milky appearance, reminiscent of a powerful waterfall cascading into a sensory explosion of freshness and intensity.

The scent is built around cool spices, softened lavender, and musky woods, all “drenched” in water to amplify their character. The spices offer an unexpected burst of vibrant freshness, while the bleached lavender delivers a smooth, sensual depth. The woody and musky notes are enriched by water, creating a rounded and lasting aroma.

Francis Kurkdjian explains, “To capture the power of water, I reinvented the fresh signature of Sauvage, moving away from traditional citrus notes to highlight the dynamic freshness of cool spices. The alcohol-free formula allowed me to extend this freshness to its peak, pushing the boundaries of what a fragrance can be.”

Sauvage Eau Forte employs Dior’s cutting-edge nano-emulsion technology, merging water and fragrant oils to create a concentrated composition.
